Adelaide Brighton is the largest producer of lime in Australia, with production plants in South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Lime is an important product for the mineral processing industry in resource rich markets, particularly for the production of alumina and gold, of which Australia is a leading producer.
Adelaide Brighton has a growing presence in the premixed concrete and aggregates industry. Our network extends from South Australia, through Victoria and New South Wales, to south east and northern Queensland and the Northern Territory. Through our own and our joint venture operations, we have strategic reserves of aggregates in a number of regions — South Australia, regional Victoria, west of Sydney, regional New South Wales, south east Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Adelaide Brighton holds the leading position in the Australian concrete products market, with operations in South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania.
Adelaide Brighton has a number of significant investments in joint ventures, and associates in construction materials production and distribution. These include:
• Major cement distribution joint ventures in Queensland (Sunstate Cement), Victoria and New South Wales (Independent Cement and Lime)
• Regional concrete and aggregates production and supply in Victoria and New South Wales (Mawson Group and Batesford Quarry)
• A 30% investment in a Malaysian white cement and clinker producer (Aalborg Portland Malaysia) who supplies the Australian market.

Experience: Experienced global executive with more than 30 years experience in the oil and gas, logistics and manufacturing sectors gained in Australia and overseas with a background in finance, strategy and planning.

Managing Director and CEO
Term of office: Director since November 2015.
Experience: More than 30 years’ experience in the construction materials industry ranging from electrical engineering, operational and general management, sales and marketing and strategy and business development. Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Adelaide Brighton Ltd in May 2014.
Committee membership: Attends Board committee meetings.
Current directorships/other interests: Director of Fletcher Building Limited, Sunstate Cement Ltd and Cement Industry Federation.
Term of office: Director since August 2008
Experience: Over 24 years’ experience in the premixed concrete and construction materials industry.
Committee membership: Member, Safety, Health and Environment Committee.
Current directorships/other interests: Managing Director of Barro Group Pty Ltd.
Term of office: Non-executive Director since July 2010.
Experience: Mining Engineer with over 40 years’ experience in infrastructure, construction and mining services gained in Australia and Africa, as well as extensive experience in financial, legal and commercial aspects of projects.
Committee membership: Chairman, Safety, Health and Environment Committee and Member, Nomination, Remuneration and Governance Committee.
Term of office: Non-executive Director since April 2011.
Experience: Extensive experience as a senior executive in business and the financial services industry gained in Australia and the United States with a background in investment banking and securities law.

Current directorships/other interests: Director, Primary Health Care (appointed August 2012) and Aristocrat Leisure Limited (appointed July 2016).

Experience: Extensive experience in the mining and resources industry across a variety of roles including operations, environment, community, indigenous affairs, corporate development and sustainability.

Experience: Extensive experience in the finance industry with experience gained in Australia, the United Kingdom and Asia.

The Executive Team is responsible for the development and execution of corporate strategy and the day to day management of the Company to drive sustained increase in shareholder value.
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
Martin was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in May 2014 and was appointed to the Board as Managing Director in November 2015. He has over 30 years’ experience in the construction materials industry commencing with electrical engineering then moving to sales and marketing, operational and general management, and strategy and business development. While in his strategy role, he was closely involved in downstream acquisitions of Adelaide Brighton’s concrete and aggregate and concrete products businesses.
Acting Chief Financial Officer
Darryl has a background in finace and has worked in the building and construction products industry in Australia and internationally. Darryl joined Adelaide Brighton in 2008 and has held several finance roles, most recently General Manager Finance.
Executive General Manager, Concrete and Aggregates
Brett joined Adelaide Brighton in 2014 when the Company acquired the Direct Mix Concrete and Southern Quarries group. He has significant experience in the concrete and aggregates industry gained through national exposure in general management.
Executive General Manager, Concrete Products
Andrew was appointed Executive General Manager for Concrete Products in May 2015. He has extensive experience in the building products industry and has general management and logistics experience. Andrew has been with Adelaide Brighton since 2008 in a number of senior management positions.
Executive General Manager, Cement and Lime
Brad has operational responsibility for Adelaide Brighton's national cement and lime operations. He has significant experience in construction materials and mining services and over his 20 plus year career with Adelaide Brighton has held a number of senior positions across sales and marketing, business development, operations, transport and logistics and international business.
Executive General Manager, Marketing and International Trade
Michael was appointed to the position of Executive General Manager, Marketing and International Trade in May 2016. Prior to this Michael had operational responsibility for Adelaide Brighton's cement and lime operations in South Australia and New South Wales. He is a sales and marketing professional with complementary operations, international trade and general management experience.
General Counsel and Company Secretary
Marcus joined Adelaide Brighton in February 2003 as General Counsel and Company Secretary. He is a legal practitioner admitted in South Australia with 30 years’ experience.
Executive General Manager, Human Resources and Health Safety and Environment
Dimity joined Adelaide Brighton in January 2016 as Executive General Manager for Human Resources and Health, Safety, and Environment. She has broad experience in human resource and general management across a range of industries.
